Leggings Aren't Pants

Leggings Aren't Pants

I broke my own cardinal rule. The die-hard New Yorker in me is having a conniption. My inner self is shouting, "Leggings are not pants. What has LA done to you?" And well, I agree with my inner New Yorker. I can't help but judge myself a bit. But...

We see top models like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner wearing leggings around with such grace and confidence that it's become acceptable. There are two sides of this argument. One is that they are models. They can wear whatever they want and it looks great. The other is: should any trend be limited to just models? I don't think so.

But ultimately, I think my aversion to leggings being worn as pants is that most of the time, it is a product of being lazy. I try my hardest to not just look lazy or like I just threw what I'm wearing together. And since style is a "to each her/his own," I say go for it. Wear your leggings wherever and whenever you want.
