A New Hope

Well, 2016 was a real kick in the nuts. We all keep saying that we can't wait for it to be over, but I'd like to state the obvious: If we want to make 2017 better, we have to work for it.

Trust me, I felt a deep depression from the violence, hate, and political unrest of 2016. Over the past few days, I've been giving myself a break from Facebook rants, twitter, and the news. It's refreshing. It's allowed me to refocus my energy.

There are a lot of things I want to achieve this 2017 and I must let go of 2016 to get there. I must always look forward.

I've been writing up my goal list, creating my inspiration board, and writing out what I want to manifest. Not just manifest, do. I'm writing out plans and structuring the way I can live my life to achieve my goals.

A huge part of this plan is being active in my community and creating a positive change in the world. While I love yoga and meditation, I feel like change in the world happens more by conversation. As exhausting as it can be, I want to be more a part of the conversation. It's been a while since I felt that kind of hope. So 2017, I'm ready for ya!
