Stirling Castle is quite a stunner. It feels like the perfect location for shooting a film or an episode of Outlander. It is really impressive with its sturdy stone, storied history, and truly stunning views. I can imagine how it served as a perfect fortress as it is set high above the lands.
Stirling Castle isn't even the star because the town of Stirling is so charming. I walked around stopping for cups of tea and pints of soup while listening to young kids in play violin and bag pipes in the street. It was a transformative moment. For a second, I wasn't in any particular time and I was not American. I live for moments where I am purposely lost.
