Earlier, I shared a post about what to see on the Isle of Skye but I thought I'd post about what to bring to a trip to Scotland. The weather is a bit complicated as it changes every 5 minutes. When we were on Culloden Moor it was about 80 F but that evening when we made it to sky, we were bundled up in jackets. It happened the entire trip. We'd be in sunshine then pouring rain.
It's part of what made the trip so wonderful (having to find hide aways from the rain only to find the perfect cafe). Since the weather changes so much, you have to pack lots of layers. You have to pack different kinds of shoes for the terrain. Some places are muddy, some are hard to hike, and then there is the paved streets of Edinburgh. Here are a few of my suggestions:
